Cotton

What was your inspiration?

I really struggled with serging the zipper into these bags. So...I kept practicing! I also played around with the size and not boxing the sides.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I found the best way for me to get the zipper right was to use 1/4" wonder tape to 'baste' the zipper to the bag before serging. I also used wonder clips for the first time and I really like them for the serger. The wonder clips are much easier to see than regular needles. This helps avoid running over a pin and ruining a needle or the blade.

Wow- that's quite a bag collection! I like that you tried out so many different shapes and sizes. That's great advice to use the Wonder Tape- I know many students have found it to be very helpful!
