I I have finally made the bloomin' bags! I have made two. The pink one was the first. i had to give up trying to insert the zip with the overlocker. I must have unpicked about 6 times, so I resorted to an ordinary sewing machine. The second attempt today was much better and I managed to get the zip in using the overlocker. Hurray!! I only had to unpick one side once this time. I think I have broken about 4 or 5 needles attempting both of these bags. feeling very chuffed!

I like the look of the fabrics on this bag. I do't havea serger but when I put in these zips I finish the seams first then add the zip. What did you use as your tabs on either end?

The tabs were made from the lining material. From memory a piece was cut 6x3. It was interlocked together right sides together and then turned inside out and then cut in half.
