Embellished Thank You Card

Before

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Shuttle Tatting »

Instructions

The card was purchased with a nice design already on it. What I did was tat small flowers, rings, and a tiny butterfly and glued these on to embellish the design and add dimension.

Difficulty:

Category: Paper Crafts

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Unisex

Style: Traditional, Funky, Cute, Casual, Whimsical, Classic

Materials

A commercially produced thank you card, tatting thread size 20, tacky glue.

What was your inspiration?

The card was already very pretty, but I wanted to "gild the lily" a bit.

What are you most proud of?

The little bit of blue seems to make the other colors "pop" more.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Small tatted flowers and butterflies are a fun way to add a personal, handmade touch to a store-bought card.

Thank you. It seems that someone who does a lot of needle tatting would be a better teacher for that than me.
