What are you most proud of?
This was a custom ring and needed to be a certain size. It can be a bit tricky guessing the size because of the fact that metal clay shrinks after being fired and can shrink unpredictably when dealing with unusual asymmetrical shapes. This one turned out pretty close to the size I was aiming for, though I had to do a little hammering to get the ring shape back after firing it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time, work in layers... add a little clay, let it dry. Add some more, let it try and so on. Don't try to sculpt the whole thing at once when creating complicated pieces. Best to take it slow, and take your time.
