I substituted the sew-in interfacing for fusible. It gets tricky with the seams, but check out my blog post for pics of the inner workings.http://adriprints.blogspot.de/2012/11/the-edie-coat-vogue-7239-1967.html

What was your inspiration?
Several things came together on this one...
1st I bought this wool fabric at a fabric market in Amsterdam.
2nd I won a pattern giveaway on a blog.
3rd Sew Weekly was having their 1960s challenge.
And, this coat was made to be made by me!
What are you most proud of?
I am so happy at how it came together. From the hand stitching/hand-tailoring to all the machine set-in sleeves. I only made one big boo-boo which was sewing on the sleeve to the wrong arm, clipping, notching, and THEN realizing it was on the wrong arm. Oops. I'm proud of getting the lengths right and being able to make a coat I will wear over and over again.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Maybe you can figure out a better way to finish the collar, but I had a bit of trouble with that part. Let me know what you think!
