What was your inspiration?

I wanted to design a project for teaching my beginner students. This quilt covers the basics of learning to make a quilt, and does not require any matching, except putting the rows together. The pattern has instructions for sizes from baby to king. All of my patterns are clearly written with lots of colour illustrations.

What are you most proud of?

I have been using this as a teaching tool, and everyone loves it, not just my beginner students, all of them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pick one fabric, then go from there matching the rest of your fabrics to the first one, which should be a fabric you love.

I love the black and white with the red accent. Great pattern to use up scraps.
