This a fun pattern for all levels of knitters, and designed with the newer knitter in mind. The front and back are worked in a simple knit and purl pattern, with garter stitch edging and yoke. Valley Yarns Longmeadow (60% cotton, 40% microfiber) -- 4 (4, 5, 5) 50 gram (117 yard) balls in each of two colors; small amounts of Valley Yarns Longmeadow for flowers (optional); #6 (4mm) needles or size to get gauge; 4 medium stitch holders; tapestry needle
What was your inspiration?
A good friend of mine who is a new knitter wanted a pattern for a spring/summer first sweater. I designed this with her in mind.
What are you most proud of?
The simplicity of the pattern, while still being a fashionable garment.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Pick your favorite spring colors and have fun!
