I designed the embroidered duck using PE-Design software for Brother sewing machines. Any duck embroidery design will work just as well. I also used duck material in my layout and picked fabrics to match my embroidered duck. the bubbles were so cute that I decided to replicate them in my free motion quilting in some areas of the quilt. What was your inspiration?
My inspiration was the arrival of my online friend, my "MO Sistah's" second child.
What are you most proud of?
I'm just glad I had the privilege to make him something even though at the time I was feeling pretty rough and not able to do much. I at least got this simple little quilt made for him.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time when making a quilt. Let the fabric guide you on your decision to quilt it and also what coordinates to put with your main fabric choice. Keep looking until it is "just right".
