0-3 month size. H crochet hook Worsted weight yarn
I took one of my daughter's diapers for sizing. Since I'm using baby yarn instead of worsted yarn, I went up a hook size. It seems to be the right measurement for a size 1 diaper.
I made this following directions, and there was no way it would fit a newborn, maybe a small newborn/preemie, so went up a hook size and added 2 rows at the end to make it longer. Now looks like it will fit a newborn to 0-3m like the original pattern suggests. Just a thought for those having issues with sizing.
Was wondering if someone had the finished measurements they could share? I made this pattern, and another, and they keep coming out way too small. The waist is only 10" and the length (unfolded ) is only about 6"-7". I'm using the H hook, medium worsted weight yarn. I've been crocheting for 30+ years and can't figure out for the life of me where I'm going wrong. It seems like there should be so many more rows!!
Well, I just finished this last night, gotta wait until pay day though to get the button! I used an 5mm hook and Bernat Softee Baby yarn which is weight 3. My finished product was an 11 inch waist and the length, unfolded, was 8.5 inches. Hope that helps :)
For the flower just make a chain and join. Make sure that the button will fit through the circle. So now you have a chain circle. Then: chain 1 and sc, hdc, dc, trc, dc, hdc sc in circle. Do this for a total of 5 petals. Change colors join in any sc. Sc in each stitch around petal. When you get to the sc, do a sc into the circle, pulling the loop up even with the 2nd row. Do this around and finish off. Thank just button the flower onto the button. You can use the diaper cover with or without the flower. Im really not good at writing out patterns, but I hope this is helpful.

It's a decrease stitch. You do: yarn over, insert hook in necxt stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull thru 2 loops, (You now have 2 loops on your hook). Yarn over and insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull thru, yarn over and pull thru 2 loops, (now you should have e3 sts on hook), Yarn over and pull thru all 3 loops on hook. You have now made a decrease of 1. Hope this helps :)

I have and I still havent gotten the pattern. :( Please send me it to vsplunkett66@yahoo.com??? Put "diaper cover" as well on the email message. I so want to make some of these. They are so cute! Thanks. :)
ok I figured it out.. it's a bit complicated.. you have to add the pattern to your shopping cart and check out like you are buying it and you will a code in your email then you can click on downloads at the top and put in your email address and that code they sent when you checked out that will allow you to download the pattern.
click the double crochet link in orange under picture, add it to cart, proceed to check out, enter your info(real email address) then hit continue check out at end, itll say thank you, then go checck your email.
This pattern is not mine. I found it on the website and somehow got it to download - I usually have trouble with PDF files. Keep trying..it's worth it!
Scrolled down and saw the link you posted. Did it - worked out great. Type in the code - do not cut and paste. They sent me a link and printed the pattern just fine. Can't wait to make.
I just did a chain ring about the size to fit the button, and then worked the petals in that ring. The flower just pops off and on after the diapercove is on and buttoned up.
I signed up with them and "ordered" the free pattern and they sent me an email with a link and code but the link doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? I would really like to make this.
just go to the download tab on the website and it will prompt you to enter your email and the code in there. It took a while to download (only 2 pages) and I ran into the same thing. Good luck!
