Both side seams are closed!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take the time to listen to Alasdair's ribbon analogy. I kept creating flaws in my project until I figured out you really MUST keep the two yarn strands in the correct orientation. For Continental knitters, try a yarn stranding guide. (They only cost about $1.19!) Each time I needed to twist the "ribbon" (i.e., the two yarn strands), I slipped the yarn stranding guide off my finger, rotated it 180 degrees, and slipped it back on.
