What was your inspiration?
Elisa Strauss was such an inspiration! Her realistic cakes are unbelievable!
What are you most proud of?
There were so many new skills i had to learn for this cake. Piecing fondant, sculpting a cake, painting with gels and powders, using wires in gum paste for the handles, and more... But when it all came together I couldn't believe that I actually made it myself!!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Set aside a lot of time, and be patient. Its all worth it in the end!!
