16 count white Aida cloth, DMC floss, second-hand frame, paint, lacquer.

What was your inspiration?

Cross stitch Birth record I did for my niece. Her room is decorated in ladybugs, so it was a combo of her birth and her decor that inspired me. :) She's only a year and a half old now. :) I bought one pattern, found two more for free on the internet, tweaked them so they fit together, then put them all together in one pattern, and added some finishing touches. Yes, I painted the frame, too. :)

What are you most proud of?

The finished product. It's fun when you can be creative and find something that makes it all come together.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Start as soon as you know when the baby is coming and what they're decorating the room in! :)

I would absolutely LOVE to do the top half for a friend expecting her first baby. I haven't had any luck finding the patterns though.

It looks like the blog/website where I found the free patterns is now locked to the public. But, I still have all three patterns I used to put this together. If you are interested, I would be happy to email the two free ones to you. But I have to warn you that they don't quite look like the ones in my project. I tweaked them to go with my pattern. If you're interested, please leave your email and I will send them on to you. Thanks for looking at my project!
