What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make something a little festive for the holidays so started with the yarn which had pretty colored specs throughout. I then found a stitch pattern I liked in the book mentioned in another section of this post and made the scarf accordingly.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's hard to judge how the width will turn out when starting without a pattern. Don't be afraid to try a few rows first. This will help you nail down the stitch's pattern and help you determine the best width for the scarf.
