What was your inspiration?
I was inspired by the fabric itself. When I saw the fabric in the store with various whimsical little cats, I immediately could see cutting out individual cats to use as the focal point in crazy patch blocks with coordinating fabrics. I've made many such blocks and used them for pouches, totes and book covers.
What are you most proud of?
I'm pleased with the many different color combinations I was able to make in the pouches and bags.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are new to sewing, by all means put "crazy patch" on your list of things to learn. It is so much fun and it is so easy to design your own simple projects with such blocks. This particular clutch finished to 11 at top (and 12 at bottom) by 5.75 x 1.75 inches. Note that I boxed the bottom.
