Coral modal shrug

Instructions

I used a shrug I already had and made a pattern from it. You can buy a pattern off ebay or just use one that you have or make on up. This fabric is pretty hard to work with and snags easily so easy as you go. It is so cool for hot weather and wears beautifully. I love it!

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make a shrug to go with a bombshell dress for my daughter. This is a modal knit that simply melts to the touch. Well......when photographing it, I snagged it and ruined it. Guess who wears this now? ME! That's right. It got snagged right....well......you know. The only place one can snag a blouse. So......I made her the black silk shrug to replace it and it won't snag as easy since she has a one year old baby. I could just see this knit shrug after one wearing. SNAG CITY!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you make this shrug and plan to give it away don't take it outside in the wind to photo it. It got caught on the only sharp area on the patio.....of course!
