What was your inspiration?
I have always wanted to make a pair of this style of moccasin. My wife will not ware them, so I made themfor my Granddaughter..
What are you most proud of?
They are well made,hard sole moccisins. The beadwork is correct for this tribe..
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Study the pattern, or make your own. Use good materials. Some tribes have very unique "idiosyncracies" to their work. (Notice the beadwork on the legs. The two sides do not match! Typical Kiowa,Commanche, Southern Plains beadwork.
These boots are worn by women. They are modist to the point of covering their whole body including their legs.
