Materials

Various ribbons and yarns are couched onto a background fabric, then embellished with hand and machine embroidery, buttons, and beads. I donated this quilt to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative and it earned $65 for Alzheimer's research.

I really love this. The colors, the stitching, everything is neat. I have been struggling a little with mine.

I love this. Can you tell us a little more about it. I see you did it from the Craftsy class scrap quilting which I am taking but you must be incredibly creative

I do not know how scrap quilting got posted. It is actually from Carol Ann Waugh's Stupendous Stitching Craftsy class, which I would recommend. She is a great teacher. The circle in the center is made from thread scraps. I put the thread scraps between 2 layers of Solvy, a water soluable stabilizer. I free motion stitched over it to bond the threads to each other. Then I used beads to embellish it.

Spectacular quilt! I love it so much, I wish I can be good enough to accomplish a quilt as such. I also admire your dedication for Alzheimer's. Our family has lost a wonderful mother to that disease. Good work!
