Instructions

The top design will need to be traced onto the top piece of fabric with a washable fabric marker. The quilting designs are up to you, but I recommend trying some of the decorative stitches on you machine. Also, the project can be quilted with the feed dogs down, but I urge trying free motion quilting for the flower. The fabric paints colors are up to you.

What was your inspiration?

I was asked to teach a workshop on fabric painting and I wanted a project that the students could finish quickly and get to the painting. I designed theh project using EQ7.

What are you most proud of?

It is quick and easy and the students seemed to enjoy the topper.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Choose solid light colored or white fabric for the top to show off your fabric painting skills. The back fabric can be any fabric you like but if you use the same as the top, your project will be reversible!
