What are you most proud of? Finished it! And I'll actually wear it! Definitely lots of room for improvement, but not too bad first time out.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Practice basic techniques first, know your machine, used quality material.

If you are a new sewer, you are off to a very good start .The workmanship looks great. Sewing is indeed a fun hobby to have. Been doing it for over 50 years and am still learning new things. Bravo and can't wait for your next project.

Wow! Thank you! I think having a background in woodworking helped: attention to detail, following instructions, fixing mistakes...! I think I might get brave and alter the pattern a little next time, try to get that wrinkle off the front.

Thanks so much! I'm in the process of shirt number 2, made from a twin bed sheet set that had an interesting pattern! It was going to be a muslin to practice an alteration, but it's coming out pretty good!

I love the way your shirt looks, and you look amazing in it. You picked the perfect color and the shading and texture, from what I see in this picture, is perfect, too. I thank you for proving to my husband that "woodworking, meat and potatoes eating" men do perform tasks of creating their own shirts!! 999,999,999 for me and 0 for him!!!!

Thanks! Yes, we macho men do try out the less dangerous crafts with success sometimes! Ok, those scissors are pretty sharp, but other than that...!
