Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Funky, Traditional, Romantic, Classic

Materials

1 skein Handmaiden Marrakesh (Laceweight Yarn) US Size 4 [3.5mm] needles

What was your inspiration?

I set out to design a top down shawl that could teach a shawl shaping technique, be fun to knit, and beautiful to wear... I liked designing and knitting Clarus so much that I knit it twice!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take this shawl one step at a time... AND use life lines!!!!

I have made 3 skywalker shawls and want to try the Clarus. When I ran out of run on the first one, I added another finish. It came out fine. It is a little smaller but looks beautiful.

Dear Laura, I knit your Skywalker Shawl and love it! Thank you!! Do you plan to do a class on adding a border to a knitten center panel for a lace shawl. I adore the old fashioned Victorian lace with added borders but am daunted by the idea of joinings. M
