What was your inspiration?
Quilt constructed by Ginger (Mother of the bride) and Emily (Sister of the bride) for the wedding June 9, 2012.
Christine (bride) is a civil war re-inactor and she inspired the construction of the quilt for her wedding. Emily found the book by Rosemary Youngs in July 2011 and suggested that we make the quilt for the wedding.
What are you most proud of?
The time and energy expended on the quilt were well worth the effort. It turned out beautifully. Fabric was coordinated with Riley Blake design.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Get someone to help. Emily and I each took about 60 blocks each to complete.
