What was your inspiration?
There are two cats in my neighbourhood - one is old and cunning the other is young and quick. On my walk down past the river I saw them about to have a fight over a mouse.
What are you most proud of?
I love the cat design - I sketched it on paper and the fabric interpretation came together well. I also like that I can make both city cats and country cats with mice or fish as the pattern includes the template for both.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Remember cats do not have to be black-and-white - you could make them any colour you like. You could even make them striped by patching squares and then cutting them out.
