What was your inspiration?

I made a needle book for myself and my friend liked it so much that I made one for her too!

What are you most proud of?

I cut the shapes out from a material with a circular pattern and arranged them to make a tree shape. I think it turned out very cute!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Follow her measurements as precisely as possible, because with pieces this small it's quite important to get the pieces and the seam allowances as exact as you can. I marked the 1/4 inch stitching lines using my acrylic ruler, and then sewed along those. Later I used the machine to do some of the other needle books, but because my machine's foot guide is just slightly over 1/4 inch, I used the stitching lines instead to keep things precise. Have fun with it!
