What materials did you use? 100% Cotton, including varigated color packs from Joann Fabrics and "Flying Colors Metallic" by Clothworks for the border

What are you most proud of? The bold colors and the way the border plays off all of the colors in the blocks.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The original pattern calls for a solid border. My biggest advice is that if you go with prints for the blocks, go with a solid, if the blocks are solids (or near enough in my case) then go for something crazy for the border that ties in the colors from the blocks. Also, you might think about trying to use free-style quilting. Trying to straight-line stitch around all those circles involved a lot of turning of the quilt.

I love the circles--what are they made of--

I used the varigated color packs from Joann's for those. The bundles come in five colors ranging in lightest to darkest. I got the yellow/orange, blue, green, pink and purple bundles although I think they have a brown bundle as well. If every bundle has five colors (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) I arranged the fabrics in the following orders from smallest to largest circle (1, 2, 3, 4), (2, 3, 4, 5), (5, 4, 3, 2) and (4, 3, 2, 1) and cut out the circles. For the biggest circles I only did small amount of fusible interfacing along the outside to cut down on the bulk in the middle.
