I worked on the spot, plein air, on a simple sketch pad and a couple of pencils. I took the photo home

Insights: the wall is too steep when I compare it with the photo and the angle or pitch of the small roof from the grafeyard the connects to the church is too steep. Trees and foliage are hard,

Hello Josephine, Thank you for sharing insights and process. You are correct about the angle of the wall and the small roof of the church. Trees and foliage are hard, and are a bit outside the purview of this course. That being said, it may be of use to try a more tonal solution rather than a linear expression. I look forward to seeing the post of your next drawing assignment.
