Instructions
My patterns are written in a non-traditional way to be very beginner-friendly. I use few, if any, abbreviations and give instructions in a row-by-row format in easy-to-read large type with a color picture of the finished project. This pattern includes complete instructions for small, medium and large trees with felting directions and "tree tips".Difficulty:

Materials
Acrylic, wool, novelty yarns. US size 11 circular and double-pointed needles. Copper wire, freshwater pearls.
What was your inspiration?
I was going to knit a Santa hat and it just occurred to me that shape would make a great mantle or tabletop tree.
What are you most proud of?
The combination of fibers - the wool felts to hold the shape, the acrylic gives texture and the furry yarn gives a branched look. Also the wire work - I think the birdie is especially whimsical!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
You really need to use a row counter and keep track of where you are - but, have fun and try out different combinations!
