What was your inspiration?
I will be teaching a class on how to make a Christmas skirt. This is the sample.
What are you most proud of?
Using home decorator fabric made the skirt elegant yet festive.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Use a lightweight fabric for the underside, bows, and ruffle. The upholstery brocade fabric is heavy and when combined with all the other layers it becomes very difficult to assemble with a traditional sewing machine.
