Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Charity

Style: Holiday, Traditional

Materials

Cotton quilting fabrics, batting, flannel for backing, polyester thread for piecing.

What was your inspiration?

I was inspired by a Christmas tree I had seen in a quilt magazine. I ended up making up mine own version and then because it looked plain, added the birds and garland, and came up with the rest as I went along.

What are you most proud of?

The border. I love the combination of gold fabrics that make your eye shift around.

Oh my goodness, I can't remember what the magazine was. it was a beautiful but very complicated paper pieced pattern and the ends of the pine boughs turned up. When I saw how very involved it was, I decided to create my own version. Might have been Quilting Arts or American Quilting.

I love the tree pattern. What is the pattern or what magazine did you see it in?
