In Germany, we celebrate the tradition of Advent Calendars or Christmas Calendars. It is usually a cardboard with 24 slots, each filled with chocolate. On december 1st, you open the first slot, and you do so until christmas. After the chocolate is finished, the cardboard is being thrown away. I wanted to create a calendar for every-year-use. The pockets are back-pockets of old jeans. They are closed with snap-buttons to keep its contents safe and secret until opened ;-). The pocket size allows that you can store little gifts not only for a kid but for the whole family in it. Once emptied, you can remove every pocket. On Dec 24th, you just have a plain but decorated christmas-tree, which you can use as christmas decoration, too.
