What materials did you use? i used broadcloth. The material was simple and reasonable in price. Lace from Hobby Lobby.

What are you most proud of? designing and putting the pattern together. I also used white flannel for inside lining of baby hat for warmth.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? measure the baby before cutting out size. Sizes are not always accurate. Measure width from back shoulder to shoulder. neck size, chest size. length of gown desired. do a little at a time. take breaks. Sometimes you're not sure what the next step is. Sleep on it. The next day, it clicked what I needed to do.
