What was your inspiration?
My husband and I are trying to impress upon our children the importance of spending within a budget. Our kids receive a small allowance for chores they do around our home. With the money they receive, they decide what they will spend, save and give to others. We started off using paper envelopes for this purpose. I made a set of fabric ones for my daughter and a little purse pouch to keep them in. She loves it!
What are you most proud of?
That while this is a cute item that my daugher enjoys using, the habits we are helping her form at the age of 6 will serve her the rest of her life.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Working with smaller pieces is sometimes harder than working with large ones. Take your time and pin pin pin!
