What materials did you use? Exterior design is all cut from the same fabric - the small green plaid for the front bottom piece, the larger red check for the top front piece and the chicken piece for the back. I used a teeny mustard-color yellow flower print for the lining - it has a slight vintage look I think. I've been making tote bags out of feed sacks, and I used the same teeny mustard print for the inside of a Purina Scratch Grains bag. I also added a D ring to the side of this pouch so one can attach this to a larger bag if desired, or latch a key to the D-ring. Size of bag is about 7x5.25.

What are you most proud of? This has been a refresher course for me since it's been over 10 years since I've sewed. I'm having so much fun. I really miss sewing.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be fastidious about your fabric measurements and your seam allowances so everything fits together correctly at the very end when you sew it all together!

I love your choice of fabric. The D-ring and use of the braid is a super alternative to the original instructions. Very well done!
