What was your inspiration?
The Elizabethans had wonderful costumes! Elaborate, tons of fabrics and lace! Very romantic! Who could resist that?
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I would rate this as an advanced beginner, but even an experienced knitter will love this pattern.
It's no secret that I love super bulky yarns and easy patterns with spectacular results! This is all of that! You won't believe how easy this chic cowl is! You need to know how to knit, purl and yarn over!
The pattern calls for circular needles because of the bulk of the project, but you will be knitting back and forth like you do on your straight needles. If you have not tried circular needles, this is a good project to start using them, even though you are knitting back and forth!
This simple pattern has chic results at approx. 49" L x 9" W!
