Materials
White crochet cotton, size 10 - 800 yds. (730 m); and a size 7 (1.65 mm) steel crochet hook.
What was your inspiration?
I love snowflakes and try to use them in designs whenever possible, and I needed a table runner for the holidays!
What are you most proud of?
I love the way the snowflakes show through the runner. You can display it on the table alone, or use it over a table cloth so the color shows through. Making the runner in red to be placed over a white table cloth is also a fun idea!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is similar to filet crochet, only worked diagonally to make the snowflakes more symmetrical. Follow the instructions for the blocks and open spaces to create the snowflake design. A graph is provided for reference. The runner is worked from point to point.
The finished size is 41" long x 15" wide. A repeat is provided to increase the length in 27" increments.
