Make It
This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Captain America hat EASY all sizes »
Instructions
I did not count the ch-2 at the beginning of each round as a stitch; I ended up having one less stitch in each round, but I added the "extra" back in to where I slip stitched the round before. This made the seam line up perfectly and it was so hard to see, even though I knew where it was!Difficulty:
Category: Crocheting
Type of item: Costume
For: Unisex
Style: Cute, Geeky, Casual, Whimsical, Funky
Materials
Caron Simply Soft yarn in "Ocean" and an off-white color, J and H size crochet hooks, and a yarn needle.
What was your inspiration?
My sister and I both love Captain America, and I wanted to make this for her@
What are you most proud of?
The hat body itself came out so neat and fit so well!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a pattern where crocheting loosely is better than crocheting really tight, especially in the single crochets.
