What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make sure you get enough trim (if using) from the start. For this 31" cape I needed 3 yds but only bought 2 originally. Oops! (The hood needed some too, hence my miscalculation)

I found them in the jewelry section of Jo-ann's. Think they might have been for a necklace but I just rigged it up for this instead.
