What was your inspiration?
A friend commissioned me to make Christmas stockings for her family as she loved the idea of having knit heirloom pieces to adorn her mantle that can be used year after year.
What are you most proud of?
The variety of the patterning. It's simple as it stays in only one color yet is pleasing to the eye with the texture that starts at the cuff and works it's way down to the toe.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a great intro piece for someone who is wanting to do a sock but on a larger scale so it doesn't feel as daunting. This is also a great way for the novice knitter to try different techniques to add to their skill. Remember to read the pattern first all the way through before starting the project to make sure instructions are understood.
