I used the cable pattern from the Jackie Cabled Blanket, but used seed stitch in a wider edging of my own measurements to personalize it. Once you get the pattern down, this one is easy to memorize!Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
This yarn is super-soft and thick, so I thought it would be perfect for something to snuggle with.
What are you most proud of?
Sticking to it! This is the largest item I have knitted yet, but it's totally worth it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make sure you have the time and enough yarn! Also, don't be afraid to personalize items like this, because the "rules" don't have to apply.
