Instructions
Yesterday I tried to make a cell phone holder but it turned out more the size of a small wallet... so I tried again today.
1. Cut strips of fabric about 8" by 2" but you can vary width as you like.
2. Sew together using a 1/4" seam allowance.
3. Add batting and backing which will be the inside of your pocket.
4. Quilt this the way you would like - I did stitching in the ditches, added some diagonal lines and more parallel to the seams.
5. Using your phone as a guide, trim to the size you would like so that you can sew the sides and bottom closed, and have a flap that comes down over the top.
4. Sew a strip of fabric right sides together on the top and bottom and fold that over and top stitch so you'll have a finished edge on each end.
5. Sew the side and bottom seams, right sides together, trim your corners, then fold the right sides out.
6. NOTE: If you want to use velcro, you might want to figure out where that goes before you sew the sides and bottom and put the velcro in place first.
7. I used two buttons and some stretchy cord to hold the top in place.

What are you most proud of?
What I love about creating things is using what I've collected .... the buttons on this project are old and were purchased on a recent trip to Charlottesville, Va in a great old country store in Ruckersville that now sells antiques.
