What was your inspiration?
I found my first pair of buttons in the Martha Stewart craft section at the PX and I have been hooked since. I love searching for buttons in thrift shops, vintage shops and anywhere else I happen to be. I also use buttons for rings, as a flower center in headbands, I make clasps for bracelets, as accent pieces for necklaces and you can sew them onto purses, tops and just do an endless number of things with them.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud of how adorable and simple these are. I love to find simple projects that can help someone have cute accessories that express their own style.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Enjoy! Have fun with it. Searching for interesting things to create with is one of my favorite parts of jewelry making and this project makes every shopping trip a treasure hunt!
