Somebunny's Garden fabric collection by Wilmington Prints and complimentary fabrics pieced together by 12 and 13 year old Stephanie and Alex in Vancouver for a surprise Mother's Day gift to their mom who loves Bunnies. This was the girls first sewing project at Grama Karen's
What was your inspiration?
The collection of fabric by Wilmington Prints.
A panel set that was meant to become a childrens soft book is alternated with pieced blocks of garden yummies to create the theme for this adorable quilt.
What are you most proud of?
The girls worked hard on weekends to create a beautiful quilt top. Then had it quilted on a long arm ,machine to give to their mom for Mother's Day. She was delighted and surprised and so proud of her daughters
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
1.Take consistent seams.
2.Make sure your quilt is square when done. ( the left side is the same lenght as the right sided..and the top is the same width as the bottom..
3.Iron your seams opposing each other as you do each row. (so there is less that can cause little bumps on top.)
