CTMH Cardstock and CTMH Magnifique Level 2 paper pack, CTMH My Acrylix stamps, and Exclusive Ink pads & markers in pacifica & Chocolate, CTMH Mini Medley's in Colonial White & Chocolate, Basic Chip board distressed with CTMH inks.
What was your inspiration?
This is a scrapbook page honoring a special friendship between a dog and a couple of friends that became a family. The blues in this particular paper pack just stood out and is one of the subjects favorite colors. These were all left over papers from another project. I had these two pics I wanted to do a layout with for these two special people in my life. I actually did not make a plan like normal. I just took the paper pieces I had and moved them around the 12x12 card stock until I saw something I liked with these 2 pictures. I will let them journal the story behind these photos and then we will frame it for a wall decoration for their home.
What are you most proud of?
Being able to use up left over papers and putting a page together without a preconceived plan.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I looked for 3 colors that helped the pictures stand out. Since it was a gift, I choose the colors that they would like. I stayed with three colors to help these photos stand out and did not overly embellish to keep it simple. Sometimes to many embelishments take away from the subject photos. Play & move the papers around on the layout until you find something that catches your eye.
