Bright Winter Hoody Scarf
Instructions
NOTE: this is knit with several different yarns. Sometimes I used one strand of thisck yarn, or two strands of four ply (like red heartsuper saver)
~start with the scarf~ - cast on an even number about 12 - ROW ONE: (knit one, purl one) across - ROWN TWO: (purl one, knit one) across - repete rows one and two untill the scarf measures 2.5 to 3 feet ~BUTTON HOLE AT END~ - knit half way across row, cast off 3 stitches, knit to end - knit to cast off stitches, cast on 2 stitches (using method that is best for you), knit to end - knit each row for about 2 inches (if you want a more traditional looking scarf, continue in K1P1 pattern for about 6 to 12 inches. ~BUTTON~ -using crochet hook 6.5, chain 4, join to make a loop - chain 3 (counts as first d-crochet), d-crochet 9 more stitches in the loop. - s-crochet 2 in every d-crochet -cast off, tuck in loose end - place button, so that when closed, the scarf fits the neck of the person to wear it, sew it on. ~HOOD~ -cast stitches directly onto hood so that you cast on 3 stitches for every stitch on the scarf edge. -knit across every row untill the hood is about 18 inches - cast off - sew the top closed ~~~ THATS IT, YOU'RE DONE~~~~
