What was your inspiration?
I bought the fabric a few years back when I had no real dress-making experience but wanted to make dresses from vintage patterns. I had a vintage pattern where the model was wearing a bright yellow dress. I never made it, but this one in the class was a pretty close match.
What are you most proud of?
All of it! It was such a steep learning curve for me as I was only a beginner sewer before. I learnt so many new techniques and am a much better sewer now.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you're a beginner then try making a few simpler dresses first. Take your time, try to be zen about any ripping out you have to do. And don't skimp on making a muslin!
