In Craftsy's first-ever Block of the Month, Amy Gibson brings you 10 specific quilting techniques - appliqué, string quilting, paper piecing and more.
What materials did you use?
What are you most proud of?
Finishing two blocks in one day!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Go for it!
Thanks!! Nothing like something bright and cheery on a winter's day, eh?!!
I am loving this class, your blocks look great, I love your color choices.
Me too! And thanks. Color and I are long long time friends.
I gave up. There's no instructions to make the blocks and no instructional print out.
The Block of the Month is a free class - go sign up and it has all the instructions you need!
Don't give up! A. A. is correct...go to the site and follow the instructions. You will also get loads of support from the site monitors. You can do it!!
i want to make a t-shirt blanket..i have alot of old sports , team t-shirts.. the kids have some old favorite school and sport teams shirts too. how about teaching that?
I've made many of those for kids going to college with their collected high school shirts. There are patterns all over the place! I did find that using a fusible web product on the back of the t-shirt design was very helpful to stablize the fabric. Go for it!!
I think Missouri Star Quilt Co. has a tutorial on t-shirt quilts!
