Thank you! and LauraC.. I didn't 'decide' on fabric, I just pulled fabric out of my scraps.. I did, however choose a lighter print next to the black (with my 2nd attempt), so the shape of the 'star' was more pronounced. With the rest, I just had fun.

I redid this block. I couldn't figure out why I didn't have the right seam allowance on the points. I had my block in hand, and a white speck caught my eye, Oy! You can see all four of my white pencil markings where I was supposed to meet the fabric. There you have it! If you are wondering the same thing, you might want to check. If you view my block enlarged, you can see my markings too. Accuracy counts for something!

I love the colors/fabrics in your blocks. I haven't done any yet because I haven't decided on fabric.

I worried about that too... but let loose on these two blocks, and it's really hard not to come up with something great if they catch your eye. Have fun with it! And thanks for the comment!
