I think your batiks were perfect for this block. It reminds me of a sunburst and the batik gives it a "lava" feel. The black in your blocks really sets off your colors. Thanks for sharing!

LOL... I didn't think I had that many batiks... truth be told, I really don't, but there are so many colors in just one fat quarter that a full color wheel was easy.

Awesome! Like the way you did the colors in a rainbow from yellow (warm) to violet (cool). The center looks great in yellow- better than black. I really like the black background. Mine is white, but I think a black quilt is on the horizon. Lol

Beautiful! I was thinking of using the blanket stich, also. Did you use it on both blocks? (I am still on the log cabin blocks. Working full time is certainly interfering with my quilting!).

Just this one... I am still thinking maybe the black blanket stitch wasn't such a good idea... but I definitely like the yellow blanket stitch around the center circle.
