Blue and white cotton fabric. Extra wide yardage for backing. Cotton batting
I had previously made a Jelly Roll Race quilt in purples and pinks [check out Briana's quilt] and I liked the process so much, I wanted to do another one in a boy's color way and I finally did one, Quilt Dude style. I have TONS of blue and white scraps, so I cut them into 4" strips and sewed and sewed and sewed them together until I liked what I saw. The strips part was a bit narrow, so I added the white borders on the long sides to make it wider. The final dimension is about 94 X 76 inches. The quilting is simple stitch in the ditch, so it's a super soft, snuggly quilt. I left the backing an inch larger all around, then rolled it to the front and machine stitched it for a quick 1/2 inch binding in the front. Not bad for like, 4 days' worth of work from start to finish.
