Blooming Log Cabin Miniature

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Classic, Traditional, Cute

Materials

Cotton fabric and batting.

What was your inspiration?

I'm sure it was a pattern in a Miniature Quilts magazine. The log cabin blocks measure 2 3/4 inches. I hand appliqud the flowers and stems. The quilt is 16 1/2 X 19 inches. Started in 1997 and finally finished in 2011 after doing the machine quilting class here on Craftsy.

What are you most proud of?

I was going to hand quilt it, but just wasn't sure because of all the seams. After I did the machine quilting class I just did it. Used monofiliment thread around the flowers and stems and white through some of the white on the log cabin blocks.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't think too hard about how you are going to finish just get it finished.
