Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Casual

Materials

100% cotton quilting material that I bought at Hancock Fabrics during a 50% sale. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for the material since I'm planning on Free Motion Quilting (FMQ) this using the quilt-as-you-go method in Leah Day's class.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted something bright and cheerful. This will be my first attempt using the quilt-as-you-go method that I learned from Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting A Sampler Craftsy course.

What are you most proud of?

That the fabric choices I made seem to be going together pretty well. I'm still not sure on some of them. I find choosing fabrics to be the hardest part of quilting a sampler!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Pick out what you like, take your time, and enjoy the process!

Your blocks are fun and well-done! I recognize some of your fabrics as ones that I have too. I plan to use my green ogee print on a frog-related project soon. ;
